As a key member of our team at L-ACOUSTICS SAS, you will be responsible for driving the purchasing strategy for assigned commodities, ensuring standardization of processes, and feeding corporate sourcing strategies.

Purchasing Strategy Definition

  • Develop and implement a purchasing policy for your commodity, including target suppliers, strategic suppliers, contracts, and framework agreements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a commodity strategy, adjust to changes, and control adherence.
  • Conduct sourcing analysis, including internal constraints, external risks, cost analysis, and supplier market analysis.
  • Define supplier selection criteria, such as global footprint, technology, and quality management.

Purchasing Strategy Implementation

  • Manage spend according to the purchasing and commodity strategy.
  • Implement a global cost structure evaluation approach for your suppliers.
  • Monitor and improve the quality, cost, and lead time performance of suppliers through performance reviews, audits, and action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing processes and update data in the ERP system.

Continuous Improvement of Purchasing Strategy

  • Identify and capitalize on global and local cost optimization opportunities.
  • Lead cost-saving initiatives, align with stakeholders, and drive implementation.
  • Conduct regular negotiations with global and local strategic suppliers.
  • Manage contracts and negotiations.

Market Monitoring and Updating Key Data

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, focusing on prices, suppliers, producers, and new technologies.
  • Ensure a permanent market watch and monthly reporting of performance.
  • Update spend data gathering and analysis on influencing spend patterns.
  • Monitor and report commodity KPIs, including PPV, Weighted Payment, Quality, and Delivery Performance.

Requirements for Success

  • Master's degree from an engineering school.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a commodity buyer.
  • Excellent sense of humility, simplicity, and partnership, with a long-term vision for supplier relationships.
  • Bilingual level of English and French, with a business level proficiency in English and other European languages a plus.
