Research Engineer - Single-Photon Source Optimization

Quandela is a leader in the development and commercialization of quantum computers based on the manipulation of single photons. We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to participate in the optimization of our single-photon sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build custom setups to address and characterize quantum emitters at cryogenic temperatures.
  • Implement advanced picosecond-pulse shaping and pulse sequences to improve brightness and indistinguishability.
  • Develop and implement characterization methods to probe quantum dots and their interaction with the solid-state environment.
  • Collaborate with the production teams to transfer successful results and ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
  • Systematically document results and report findings through scientific publications and international conferences.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field.
  • 3 years' experience in a research laboratory.
  • Strong fundamentals in quantum optics and optical microscopy techniques.
  • Understanding of solid-state quantum emitters.
  • Proven ability to build and run complex optical experiments from the ground up.
  • Software coding skills using Python or other common languages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
