Your Role
As a Technology Strategy Consultant, you will engage closely with our clients' leadership teams to identify their primary challenges, formulate IT strategies, secure support for your recommendations, and collaborate with BCG case team members to convert client potential into tangible results. You will implement tailored IT strategies, digital frameworks, and architectures to harness the digital capabilities of our clients using cutting-edge tools such as cloud solutions, artificial intelligence, blockchain, microservices, and containerization. You will oversee specific project components, assess and mentor our clients' technology teams, manage quality and risk, and uphold client expectations. You will spearhead innovative projects by enabling clients to effectively adopt agile methodologies and contemporary approaches within the strategic IT landscape, addressing a variety of technology issues and applying your consulting expertise to strategic technology challenges. Additionally, you will receive extensive training, including technology-specific education and mentorship, to enhance your technical skills. You will also contribute to project proposals, client relations, relationship-building with colleagues, and identifying new business prospects. Ultimately, as a Technology Strategy Consultant, you will play a vital role in the development of the Practice Area and help elevate the BCG brand as an integral member of the case team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT strategy and consulting, professional software development, or IT project management.
  • Relevant experience from a leading consulting firm, particularly in technology and digital initiatives.
  • A strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working creatively and analytically in problem-solving scenarios.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual abilities, strong customer orientation, and mental agility with a focus on results.
  • Proficient technical knowledge in at least two of the following domains: - IT Modernization; Solution & Enterprise Architecture - Marketing, Sales & Service Platforms (CRM) - Physical & Digital Channels (Including Mobile) - ERP (SAP) & Manufacturing Platforms - Banking & Insurance Platforms - People, HR, Collaboration Platforms - Applied Intelligence, Machine Learning, RPA, Chatbots, Blockchain, IoT - DevOps & Bimodal IT - Data Analytics, Big Data, Data Platforms - Cyber Security.
  • Experience with both legacy systems and modern technological approaches.
  • Proven track record in Agile consulting and advisory, with experience in large-scale Digital and Agile transformations.
  • Experience in developing IT organizations and processes.
  • Experience in organizing workshops at peer levels and facilitating client meetings.
  • Strong business acumen; capable of contextualizing complex issues within appropriate business frameworks.
  • Preferred industry experience in Retail, Banking, Insurance, Utilities, Oil, Gas, and Telecommunications.
  • Able to perform under pressure and willing to travel to clients globally.
  • Highly professional, diligent, results-oriented, and hardworking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Loyal and dependable, upholding the highest ethical standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, along with independent judgment and autonomy.
  • Ability to propose innovative solutions, foster empathy within the firm, and earn client trust.
  • A university degree with above-average academic performance in a STEM-related field or business management.
