Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team. As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in helping us automate and scale security, while responding to security issues across the largest cloud provider in the world.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement scalable security solutions to protect Amazon's cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Participate in on-call rotations to respond to security incidents and ensure timely resolution.
- Design and implement automated tools to streamline security processes and improve efficiency.
- BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or 3+ years' equivalent technology experience.
- 3+ years experience building scalable security utilities and tools.
- 3+ years experience with web protocols and Linux/Unix tools and architecture.
- 3+ years experience in host, network, and application security.
- 2+ years experience building automated tools, preferably in Python, JavaScript, and/or Java.
- A MS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or 5+ years' equivalent technology experience.
- A high degree of organization and be very detail-oriented.
- Previous experience on a Security Operations team, or experience coordinating responses to security incidents.
- Autonomously utilizing excellent project management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of internet security issues and threat landscape.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, familiarity with AWS and GuardDuty services is highly valued.
