The CHU de Besançon is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Logistics Coordinator within the pharmaceutical division, aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.
Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the logistical and operational aspects of the pharmacy, which includes the management of medication storage, inventory control, and distribution to various care units. The role also involves maintaining specialized storage areas such as cold storage and controlled substance areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, verifying, tracking, labeling, and shelving all incoming medication supplies.
- Managing the flow of medications based on specific assignments, including reductions, cytotoxic drugs, repackaging, and clinical trial materials.
- Participating in inventory audits and stock management, promptly reporting any discrepancies to mitigate shortages.
- Preparing and distributing bulk pharmaceutical solutions, coordinating deliveries to care units with external service providers.
- Processing medication returns from care units efficiently.
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization of designated areas, workspaces, and equipment.
- Delivering medications to care units as required.
- Properly disposing of pharmaceutical waste in accordance with regulations.
- Assisting in the management of adverse events and incidents related to medication handling.
Qualifications
Educational Background: CAP, BEP, or BAC Diploma; B License, CACES 1, 3, 5 preferred.
Experience and Knowledge Requirements
- Trained in hygiene protocols and maintenance practices for work areas and equipment, with familiarity with the institution's operations.
- Knowledgeable about care services and delivery logistics, with proficiency in relevant computer systems.
- Understanding of warehousing principles and practices.
Essential Skills
- Ability to implement procedures that ensure the security of the medication supply chain.
- Knowledge of hygiene and maintenance protocols for work areas and equipment.
- Awareness of inventory management and warehousing concepts.
- Capability to identify discrepancies during the reception, inspection, unpacking, and transportation of medications.
- Proficient in communicating stock status and potential shortages to relevant personnel.
- Skilled in detecting and resolving issues, with the ability to seek specialized assistance when necessary.
