Senior Manager

Reforest'Action is seeking a Senior Carbon Manager to lead the development of large-scale projects for the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM).
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in project development, team management, and certification methodologies. They will be responsible for supervising project teams, ensuring operational performance and certification of AFOLU projects, and contributing to the structuring and development of the Climate Solutions team.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of certification methodologies, such as ARR and IFM, and will be able to achieve in-depth mastery of technical topics. They will also have pedagogical skills and the ability to offer constructive insight into strategic topics.
The position is based in Rueil Malmaison, near the RER A train station, and offers a company contribution to Navigo pass and lunch card. Work from home is possible. Reforest'Action values diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and supporting project teams throughout the development process
- Ensuring operational performance and certification of AFOLU projects
- Leading strategic interactions with project implementers
- Validating and taking responsibility for all deliverables
- Providing technical contribution to commercial activities for project promotion and financing
- Contribute to the structuring and development of the Climate Solutions team on project-related issues
- Contribute to the structuring and development of the CS team on non-projects-related issues
Key qualifications include:
- At least 5 years of experience in project development for the VCM (VCS/Gold standard) with a preference for tropical areas
- Experience in team management in a project context (1 to 5 people)
- Field experience on ARR projects development (relationship with project implementer, contract negotiations, due diligence, business plans, monitoring plans, operational implementation, etc.)
- Deep knowledge of certification methodologies (ARR, IFM, etc.)
- Result-oriented
- Pedagogical skills
- Ability to achieve in-depth mastery of technical topics and close project supervision
- Offer constructive insight into strategic topics in order to improve of team structure and scaleup
