Acoustic Research Specialist

We are seeking an Acoustic Research Specialist to develop our research activities in collaboration with third-party academic institutions, exploring new fields in sound professionals' practices and multisensory experience evaluation.
The successful candidate will join the L-Acoustics Education & Scientific Outreach department, a multi-disciplinary department dedicated to the creation, delivery, and transfer of a reference education program for sound professionals.
The Field Application Research team conducts research on guidelines and best-field practices for audio professionals, with results subject to scientific publications and education material for onsite and online educational activities.
The team also acts as a bridge between L-Acoustics and the academic and educational communities.
The Acoustic Research Specialist will be responsible for:
- Conducting research related to sound professionals' practices and the global behavior of sound systems in the fields of loudspeaker interaction with the environment, atmospheric conditions, audience, and room acoustics.
- Analyzing the influence of the environment on the performance of loudspeaker systems, including quality for the audience and noise pollution in the environment.
- Creating loudspeaker system design and optimization guidelines accounting for the environment and other parameters.
- Defining onsite best practices, including acoustics and physical measurements, parameters adjustments, and usage of new L-Acoustics technologies.
- Interacting with multiple entities in the company around scientific & education activities, including other lecturers, research activities, and creation of tools and recommendations for end users.
- Participating in scientific outreach activities, including talks at scientific conferences and design of collaborative projects with third-party academic and professional partners.
- Defining and designing lectures and courses related to sound, from fundamental to expert level, contributing to the best usage of L-Acoustics products.
- Instructing designed lectures and courses, including sessions for internal L-Acoustics staff, professional events, and partner Academic Institutions.
- Participating in the development of our Digital Education Platform, including online digital platform for trainees, trainers, learning designers, and training center managers.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree or PhD in Acoustics, Audio Engineering, or a related field, native or proficiency in English, experience in collaborative research projects, a record of scientific publications, and a strong interest in scientific outreach.
Location: 91460 Marcoussis – France or remote with regular presence in Marcoussis.
