Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures in all procurement activities.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that balance exceptional customer service with cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to devise integrated supply chain solutions.
- Oversee departmental budget management.
- Maintain procurement documentation, ensuring high standards of data integrity.
- Monitor supplier compliance with Zimmer Biomet standards.
- Address and resolve invoice discrepancies effectively.
- Engage with European and Global procurement teams to understand cross-functional commodity needs, analyzing costs, logistics, quality, and user requirements to inform centralized procurement decisions.
- Establish and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet operational targets.
- Prepare analytical reports and forecasts for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze data to influence strategic decisions regarding sourcing and procurement.
- Proactively identify potential issues affecting business operations and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Assess team performance against established objectives and provide constructive feedback.
- Utilize metrics and formal feedback to enhance supplier performance and communicate site-specific feedback to Category Managers.
- Proficient understanding of planning and purchasing systems, manufacturing processes, accounting principles, and inventory management.
- Ability to generate actionable insights from ERP system data.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with ERP systems.
- Self-motivated team player with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in contract negotiations and project management.
- Ability to evaluate supplier quotations for quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to handle complex challenges and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in Supply Chain, Operations, or Procurement roles.
- Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines while working collaboratively and independently.
- Understanding of legal aspects of procurement, including contract law.
- Extensive experience in purchasing practices, market analysis, and negotiation techniques.
- Ability to provide clear direction and priorities to team members.
- Exemplary leadership qualities, ethical standards, and consistency in values.
- Strong collaborative skills to facilitate effective communication with operations and suppliers.
- Advanced knowledge of planning and purchasing systems and budgeting practices.
- Effective analytical, organizational, and communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with suppliers while ensuring accurate data transfer.
