NXP Semiconductors is seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Designer to join our team in Toulouse, France.
About the Role:We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in digital design to work on the development of high-performance mixed-signal technologies for automotive applications. As a Senior Digital Designer, you will be responsible for implementing digital systems on silicon, participating in the definition of products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of designs.
Responsibilities:- Implement digital systems on silicon according to specifications and project plans.
- Participate in the definition of products by proposing optimized architectures for area, power consumption, and performance.
- Define and design test features to cover testability of blocks or ICs.
- Collaborate with backend teams to specify and review timings, power consumption, and post-layout simulation.
- Work with verification teams to complete functional coverage and code coverage before tape-out.
- Check RTL by lint, CDC/RDC, synthesis, and scan insertion.
- Participate in debug at lab and on ATE to validate designs.
- 7+ years of experience in IC development.
- Strong expertise in digital design, with experience in mixed-signal IC environments.
- Covered a large scope in full-custom design, including clocks & resets, operating modes, DFT architecture, low power & multi-power design, communication bus interfaces, and complex signal processing.
- Knowledge of safety design and implementation is a plus.
- Experience with traceability requirements of the V-cycle (DOORS NG tool or equivalent).
- Excellent communication skills to operate in a global environment with multiple partners in Europe and Asia.
- Fluency in English language, both oral and written.
- Knowledge of Cadence IC tools, modeling tools like Matlab or System C, System Verilog, synthesis, STA, DFT, ATPG, equivalence checking, and formal verification.
