Key Responsibilities:
- Identify strategic products within manufacturing plants;
- Assist in developing alternative and backup strategies to ensure operational continuity in the event of disruptions;
- Enhance plant profitability by internalizing lens production within our manufacturing facilities rather than outsourcing;
Business Continuity Planning Management:
- Based on mid-term planning, assurance recommendations, and local risk assessments, outline strategic products for the group concerning both product and plant, along with an action plan to mitigate identified risks.
- Engage and contribute to the Critical Raw Material & Consumables (CRMC) meetings;
- Coordinate working groups (GLI, Sourcing, EHS, Procurement) to evaluate risks and pinpoint critical factors for manufacturing in Rx labs and manufacturing plants.
- Assess the business impact of critical raw material components.
- Propose solutions to maintain operational continuity in the face of disruptions.
Development of Make or Buy Strategies:
- Analyze external procurement to identify potential insourcing opportunities;
- Monitor the progress of insourcing initiatives in collaboration with regional leaders;
- Facilitate insourcing or product development in partnership with group entities;
- Formulate make or buy strategies to expedite insourcing actions.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in industrial engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in functional management within an international context;
- In-depth knowledge of Essilor Group's product and service offerings;
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude, energy, and leadership capabilities;
- Comfortable in a diverse and multicultural work environment, with a knack for networking;
- Possessing strong leadership qualities, with the ability to influence others and a results-oriented mindset, you demonstrate analytical skills and a structured approach, complemented by excellent interpersonal and communication abilities;
- Proficient in Excel at an expert level;
- Fluent in English.
