Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Project Manager to join our supply chain department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transportation projects, improving business processes, and ensuring delivery and client satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
As a Transport Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Mapping all transports and clusters (EUR, NA, Asia)
* Updating MIFD of external flows and clusters (EUR, NA, Asia), including storages, and defining target MIFD and leading the corresponding action plan
* Leading transport CI plans, including milk runs, cross-docks, and identifying opportunities (incl. Make or buy)
* Defining and implementing tools to schedule transports according to MPS and scheduling requirements for inbound and outbound, maximizing usage of SAP and linking all additional tools to SAP
* Defining and implementing tools to value the cost and impact of transports for different scenarios in MPS
* Leading the deployment of transport management tools, such as Shiptify, and training local teams
* Leading RSE improvement plans for transport, including transport optimization, fuel consumption, or alternative energy, in association with the RSE department
* Managing technical projects, such as automations, loading/unloading, and defining calculation rules to evaluate Make or Buy opportunities: Cost/savings/CAPEX...
* In association with the Purchasing Department, defining specifications for transport RFQ and contributing to supplier choices
* Contributing to stock reduction action plans through transportation optimization and frequencies
* Improving the layout of warehouses and corresponding organization: reducing surface and workforce
* Contributing to HSE best practices definitions and deployment related to transports
* Contributing to customer satisfaction improvement (OTIF, deliveries...) and leading specific customer projects related to transports
* Defining and deploying Transport KPIs: truck load, costs... and managing corresponding reports
Accountability and KPIs
* Reducing transports and associated storages costs in coordination with Purchasing
* Leading Transport cost improvement plans for ALBEA Tubes Product Line (Europe, North America, Asia)
