We are seeking an Import Logistics Coordinator to support our client in managing transit operations for imported goods.
Job Overview:
- Oversee the effective organization and management of transit operations for imported merchandise, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Act as a vital contributor to client satisfaction, cost efficiency, and operational productivity.
- Gather essential documentation and directives necessary for processing operations.
- Verify transport documents, including the 'Bill of Lading'.
- Facilitate bookings with shipping companies according to provided instructions.
- Coordinate transport logistics and delivery in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Manage costs and procurement to enhance efficiency and profit margins.
- Prepare documentation for customs services and oversee invoicing processes.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and disputes effectively.
Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a comparable position, preferably with knowledge of the CargoWise system.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and international documentation requirements.
- Essential qualities include responsiveness, dynamism, attention to detail, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
- Fluency in professional English, both written and spoken, is required.
