As a pivotal member of the GE Vernova Supply Chain Operations, the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Audit and Compliance Leader plays a crucial role in aligning with business leaders and EHS teams across various units. This position focuses on managing expectations and establishing governance controls to prioritize initiatives effectively based on risk assessment, ensuring precise execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the EHS Audit programs, including setting goals and values that enhance program effectiveness.
- Streamline procedures and foster collaboration with procurement and external audit contractors.
- Report directly to the EHS Compliance Leader, ensuring adherence to legal requirements such as the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) 2021, and other relevant directives.
- Conduct comprehensive internal and external audits to ensure compliance with the GE Vernova EHS Governance Program.
- Support cross-business communities of EHS lead auditors and collaborate closely with GE Vernova Legal Counsel.
- Develop and implement training programs for internal auditors focusing on EHS Governance Audit.
- Oversee critical Environmental Compliance processes, including the Permit Review process and Waste Site Audit program.
- Ensure data governance for Waste and Water reporting requirements across GE Vernova.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a related technical/business field.
- Significant experience in large, regulated industrial environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience as a lead auditor, particularly in ISO standards.
- Proven ability to mentor and train EHS teams.
- Extensive knowledge of EHS regulatory frameworks and compliance.
Desired Skills:
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Experience in Quality or Lean Management.
- In-depth knowledge of the Energy Industry.
- Proficiency in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) tools.
- Exceptional analytical skills to interpret complex data sets.

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, along with eligibility for variable incentive compensation.
