Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of engineering professionals through effective hiring, constructive feedback, and hands-on career development. Foster a collaborative engineering culture focused on delivering value to the business.
  • Oversee the workload and project assignments of direct reports and engage in company-wide staffing initiatives. Advocate for agile software development practices and promote excellent engineering and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow engineering managers and product managers to fully understand incoming requirements, shape solutions, and translate product needs into actionable projects.
  • Ensure timely project delivery by reviewing, directing, and guiding the work of engineers, either directly or through senior engineers.
  • Enhance team productivity by driving the technical vision of the core platform that supports all use cases.
  • Participate in defining the roadmap and contributing to strategic company decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • You are a technical manager with a solid understanding of project details. You have prior experience as a manager or team lead, ideally within a development engineering context.
  • You can inspire and develop your team members, promote experimentation, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • You are capable of articulating and presenting a strong vision and roadmap for your team.
  • You have a successful engineering background and can deliver projects even when requirements are not fully defined.
  • You consistently deliver high-quality, tested code on schedule, adhering to industry best practices.
  • You possess the ability to collaborate with various business units and stakeholders.
  • You demonstrate a passion for technology by continuously suggesting improvements to processes.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English for documentation, presentations, and meetings.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with web development, web architecture, JSON/RPC, and REST APIs.
  • Experience with collaborative software engineering methodologies.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React/Preact).
  • A demonstrated interest in problem-solving and technological innovation.

Additional Skills

  • Understanding of Python or PHP is advantageous.
  • Experience in developing JavaScript SDKs.
