About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Buyer to join our team. As a Commodity Buyer, you will be responsible for identifying and developing a robust supply base for our client's innovative mobility technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Base Management: Identify and develop a robust supply base for our client's scope, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Strategic Sourcing: Define and implement strategies for a given portfolio, aligning with our client's business objectives.
- Collaboration: Support cross-functional teams, including supply chain, program buyers, and other departments, to ensure seamless execution of procurement activities.
Responsibilities & Activities:
- Supply Chain Risk Management: Encourage safety activities within the extended supply base, ensuring compliance with global purchasing procedures.
- Contract Management: Manage contractual relationships, including intellectual property, payment terms, and conditions, in collaboration with the legal department.
- Market Intelligence: Gather important market information, identify potential suppliers, and negotiate competitive conditions and LTAs agreements.
- Cost Management: Build and maintain up-to-date cost models for commodities, encouraging suppliers to provide innovative solutions.
- Program Management: Manage sourcings, programs, and budget construction for the year N+1.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree with an engineering background or purchasing education.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the manufacturing industry, with a strong background in the automotive sector.
- Language Skills: Fluency in foreign languages, with English as a must and French as a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
