Context and Benefits

INRIA, a leading research institute in France, is seeking a highly skilled software developer to join its Atlantis team. The team is focused on developing innovative numerical methods for systems of partial differential equations (PDEs) modeling nanoscale light-matter interaction problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of numerical tools for the DIOGENeS software suite, a unique numerical framework leveraging Discontinuous Galerkin (DG) techniques for the simulation of multiscale problems relevant to nanophotonics and nanoplasmonics.
  • Collaborate with team members to demonstrate the benefits of these numerical tools through the simulation of realistic and challenging use cases.
  • Actively participate in the studies conducted by the Atlantis team to address various modeling issues raised by potential end-users of the DIOGENeS software suite.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or PhD in applied mathematics/scientific computing or computational wave physics or computational photonics.
  • Strong programming skills in Fortran 2003+ and Python.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
