Job Title: Project Manager for Marine Energy Fabrication
Overview:
The Marine Energies and Shipyard Engineering division at Chantiers de l'Atlantique has been actively engaged in the renewable marine energy sector, particularly focusing on contracts related to electrical substations for offshore wind energy projects.
In your role within the production team of the Marine Energy division, you will take charge of the "Foundation" segment of the electrical substation, which includes Jacket, Transition Piece, and/or Monopile types, primarily sourced from external suppliers across Europe. Your involvement will span from the bidding phase through to project execution, ensuring comprehensive oversight until the final handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret contracts and specifications from the end client
- Draft specifications for potential subcontractors
- Initiate and manage consultations with the Purchasing department
- Evaluate technical and commercial proposals
- Contribute to the preparation of the final client proposal for the "Foundation" scope
- Assess risks, propose mitigation strategies, and develop action plans
- Engage in audit processes as required
- Negotiate subcontracting agreements for the "Foundation" package in collaboration with the procurement team
Candidate Profile:
As a well-rounded engineer, ideally with a background in structural engineering and/or welding, you bring a decade of project management experience, robust technical expertise, and a solid foundation in contract management and supplier oversight. Familiarity with Renewable Marine Energies and/or Offshore Oil & Gas sectors is advantageous.
Proficiency in English is essential. You are characterized by your openness, availability, meticulousness, and methodical approach. Your ability to work collaboratively and your strong interpersonal skills enable you to communicate effectively and diplomatically, always prioritizing client satisfaction.
Willingness to relocate and/or travel frequently during project execution may be necessary.
