About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Royal Caribbean Group. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a critical role in the planning and execution of our vessel design and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in technical, planning, and coordination activities
  • Identify stakeholders' project needs and goals, and create a detailed plan to successfully complete a project
  • Drive project reports and documents, and oversee project status reports and presentations
  • Collaborate with Mission control to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner

Naval Architecture Expertise

You will be responsible for participating in and later taking the lead on ship projects design and building process in the field of naval architecture. This includes responsibility over the ships hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, comfort, safety, and energy efficiency, as well as responsibility over the ships pier and sea trials in Naval Architectural topics.

Requirements

  • Experience of shipbuilding project and programming processes
  • Good skills to read and analyze drawings and other technical documentation
  • In-depth knowledge of SOLAS, IMO, classification rules, and marine standards
  • Fluency in English, other languages as an advantage
  • Excellent teamwork skills, good communication and co-operation skills in a multicultural working environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in Excel, MS Word, MS Project or equivalent, PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel and relocate

Qualifications

M. Sc. Naval architect with minimum 5 years of experience in the shipbuilding industry.
