At Serco, we are seeking a highly skilled Ground Segment Engineer to join our team in Toulouse, France. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing ground segment evolutions, managing ground segment sites hosting infrastructure development contracts, and defining and monitoring onsite ground segment equipment deployment.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the design and development of ground segment evolutions, including contributions to procurement and follow-up of EUSA developments, design documentation, and participation in development reviews.
- Manage ground segment sites hosting infrastructure development contracts, including providing technical specifications, reviewing technical documentation, and managing requirements in DOORS.
- Define and monitor onsite ground segment equipment deployment, including assessing performance, providing input and reports, and analyzing critical issues.
- Define and monitor onsite ground segment level 1 maintenance, including providing system in operations observation reports, supporting configurations and maintenance upgrades, and contributing to service incidents reports.
- Master's degree in Space Engineering or a related field.
- 2-10 years of relevant experience in ground segment design and development in the space industry.
- Experience in GNSS, particularly on Galileo and EGNOS, is a strong asset.
- Experience with COMSEC items and PRS information is a strong asset.
- Experience with DOORS is a plus.
- Availability to go on missions.
- Comfortable working in a diverse and multinational team environment.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of another EU member state language is an asset.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU and obtain a EU Security Clearance.
