Position Title: Developer for Sensitivity Estimation
Position Overview:
This initiative focuses on the creation and application of sensitivity estimation techniques for continuous-time Markov chain models that describe biochemical reactions within cellular environments, particularly in relation to evolving populations. Furthermore, we aim to construct a stochastic representation of a repressilator gene circuit in bacterial systems, utilizing single-cell microscopy data provided by our research collaborators. The methodologies developed will enhance our understanding of how bacterial proliferation influences the operational dynamics of the gene circuit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate sensitivity estimation techniques for multi-scale stochastic models employing Girsanov measure transformation and finite difference methodologies.
- Validate the developed techniques using a variety of test scenarios.
- Analyze single-cell microscopy data supplied by collaborative partners.
- Develop a stochastic model of a repressilator gene circuit informed by the microscopy data.
- Implement sensitivity estimation techniques on the constructed model.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong programming skills.
- Experience with single-cell microscopy data analysis.
- Knowledge of continuous-time Markov chain models related to chemical reactions.
- Familiarity with sensitivity analysis concepts.
