Position Overview

Ponticelli Frères, a global industrial entity dedicated to serving the energy sector, is seeking a Deputy Project Manager for Operations and Interfaces within its International Division.

As we enhance our Project Management Office for global initiatives, the Deputy Project Manager will play a crucial role in:

  • ensuring the effective implementation of the Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSSE) standards of the PONTICELLI Frères Group within their scope;
  • safeguarding the company's contractual obligations to clients, service providers, and subcontractors;
  • achieving the performance and profitability targets set by the PONTICELLI Frères Group.

Key responsibilities include:

Project Management Responsibilities
  • Develop project proposals in alignment with management directives;
  • Engage in contract or order evaluations;
  • Monitor project budgets and all associated expenditures for which they are accountable;
  • Assess project profitability on a detailed basis throughout the construction phase and implement corrective actions as necessary;
  • Communicate any technical or progress discrepancies to the client through the Project Manager;
  • Authorize, present, and secure approval for additional work from the client via the Project Manager;
  • Facilitate customer invoicing through the Project Manager;
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager in reporting project status to management (safety, quality, cost, scheduling).
Project Execution Duties
  • Participate in client engagement and internal strategy meetings;
  • Oversee the preparation of project work;
  • Manage supervision meetings;
  • Communicate project objectives (safety, quality, cost, timeline);
  • Evaluate physical progress, ensure adherence to timelines, and propose corrective measures when necessary;
  • Identify and confirm requirements for personnel, equipment, subcontracting, and procurement;
  • Prepare tenders and purchase orders;
  • Recommend subcontractors for project tasks;
  • Supervise subcontractor activities;
  • Track purchase orders from subcontractors and suppliers, validating invoicing;
  • Ensure the technical and administrative accuracy of documentation;
  • Facilitate the resolution of any outstanding issues and final project acceptance;
  • Engage in project feedback sessions;
  • Conduct supplier evaluations upon project completion;
  • Ensure the completion of the end-of-project report.
Desired Profile

A Master's degree in engineering with 3 to 5 years of project management experience in the oil sector or a related field is required; proficiency in English is essential; advanced skills in MS Office are necessary; strong decision-making and leadership capabilities; effective time management and organizational skills. Willingness to travel to project locations is expected.
