With over 60 years of experience in turbo technology, we are recognized as a leader in the industry, providing cutting-edge solutions in electric boosting products and automotive software.
We are seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to spearhead the development of next-generation automotive technologies. This role is pivotal within our Electrification Center of Excellence (eCOE) and will report directly to the Global Systems Engineering Leader. The successful candidate will:
- Lead a talented team of 8 to 10 systems engineers, guiding the development of innovative powertrain products across automotive, industrial, and commercial sectors.
- Enhance system engineering processes and conduct risk analyses in alignment with industry standards such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO 21434.
- Facilitate collaboration between systems engineering and cross-functional teams, including product line, hardware, mechanical, software, and manufacturing.
- Conduct internal design reviews to ensure technical and process compliance, fostering design maturity at every development stage.
- Define and communicate the vision, goals, and strategy for the Systems Engineering team.
- Manage resources effectively, including tools, budget, and personnel, to meet team objectives.
- Monitor team performance and support the professional growth of team members.
- Cultivate a positive team culture and provide mentorship and coaching.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in automotive product development, with a minimum of 5 years in systems engineering.
- Proven track record in leading engineering teams and managing product launches.
- Strong understanding of automotive powertrain architecture, including electric motors, inverters, and control systems.
- Experience with automotive system requirements, architecture design, and risk analysis for electric products.
- Familiarity with embedded controls and in-vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Proficient in requirements management tools and system architecture/design tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Background in the automotive industry, particularly with Tier 1 suppliers or OEMs.
- Certifications in Design for Six Sigma and automotive electrical component validation.
