Customer Engineering Director for Commercial Vehicles

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Engineering Leader to join our team at Garrett - Advancing Motion. As a key member of our Commercial Vehicle business, you will be responsible for representing our company in front of customers, driving business wins, and ensuring flawless launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead customer technical roadmaps, cutting across all Garrett portfolio, to ensure alignment with mid to long-term customer team strategic plans.
- Secure business wins through technical offers, flawless launches, and advanced product quality planning.
- Manage customer escalations, lead launch resolution issues, and field issue resolutions.
- Lead engineer project teams, assigned by the project to respective customers, and resident office if qualified.
- Responsible for bids, value engineering, homologation launch readiness review activities, and engineering resource planning.
- Ensure the latest tools and processes are deployed within project teams.
- Bring new ideas and be a change agent in how to work differently and more efficiently.
- Responsible for the hiring process for project teams, in full alignment with the Global Business Enterprise's on-boarding and Unified Career Path process.
Requirements
- Engineering university degree, Master or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- Deep understanding of customer relations and strong technical expertise in the main areas impacting successful launches.
- Demonstrated skills in product development, component design/manufacturing, managing a multi-cultural team, and communicating with customers of different segments and cultures.
