Position OverviewBombardier France is on the lookout for a Senior Financial Analyst to bolster our Mobile Response Team (MRT) operations. This role will report directly to the Finance Manager for Europe and Middle East Aftermarket operations and is based in Paris Le Bourget, France. This position offers a remarkable opportunity to engage directly in the financial and controlling processes of the company, utilizing your expertise to help build a best-in-class organization that ensures reliable and consistent financial performance for Bombardier Inc. It also provides a platform to showcase your leadership abilities, influence decision-making, and drive performance.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate within a team of 2 to 3 finance analysts, alongside an Accounts Payable specialist and an invoicing analyst.
- Oversee the work of 1 to 2 finance analysts.
- Engage in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for MRT
- Prepare, review, and/or analyze journal entries related to general accounting, tax, and other complex subjects.
- Review financial statements, elucidate variances, and prepare supporting schedules and reports.
- Review and/or prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
- Generate month-end reports for the consolidation team at the Head Office.
- Undertake any other related tasks.
- Comprehend and articulate site performance governance.
- Prepare monthly performance governance reports.
- Develop and present key KPIs and dashboards to management.
- Participate in year-end audits and other internal and external audits
- Engage in the annual audit process and statutory requirements.
- Assist in preparing statutory financial statements.
- Collaborate closely with auditors and manage relationships.
- Conduct Statutory GAAP to IFRS analysis.
- Support customs audits.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the business and its impact on financial statements.
- Coordinate tax compliance with the taxation group.
- Perform any other related tasks.
- Work collaboratively with various Finance teams, including
- The Shared Services Center for intercompany transactions.
- The Controlling and internal control teams overseeing inventory and fixed assets counts and other internal audit testing.
- The accounting policies team.
- The cash collection team.
- The invoicing team.
- Any other relevant teams.
- Contribute to the development and execution of various projects.
- Continuously seek to enhance and streamline processes.
- Support ad hoc requests.
- Undertake other related tasks.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- A degree in accounting or finance, or a professional accounting designation (DEC, DSCG, DCG, CPA or equivalent).
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Familiarity with BMD and/or MS Dynamics accounting systems.
- Knowledge of SAP and OneStream consolidation systems is a strong asset.
- Fluency in both French and English.
- A background in audit is a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and functionalities in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated strong team spirit, analytical skills, leadership, flexibility, and autonomy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to prepare presentations for senior management.
- Capacity to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a complex environment.
