The company is renowned for designing compact nuclear reactors for naval applications and pioneering projects in the civil nuclear domain, including the Jules Horowitz Reactor and Small Modular Reactors.
Position Overview
TechnicAtome is seeking a Procurement Specialist for their industrial production team to enhance their sourcing operations. This role reports directly to the Head of Production Purchasing and is part of a dedicated team of 40 procurement experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to procurement guidelines and implement purchasing strategies effectively,
- Evaluate internal and external requirements and associated risks,
- Oversee procurement activities from initial consultation to contract negotiations, collaborating closely with Technical Leads and project teams,
- Negotiate contract terms with legal advisors, technical leads, and project stakeholders,
- Conduct market research on suppliers and keep abreast of industry developments,
- Monitor order fulfillment in collaboration with relevant parties and address any discrepancies,
- Facilitate meetings with internal teams and suppliers, and participate in audits and assessments of key suppliers,
- Contribute to the procurement components of client proposals,
- Present significant issues to management for resolution.
These responsibilities may evolve into broader procurement roles or project management functions, where you will design and execute procurement strategies or manage the interface between procurement and project execution.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree and at least 5 years of experience in industrial or project procurement, ideally within the energy sector (nuclear experience is advantageous). A keen attention to detail, professional curiosity, and a strong sense of integrity are essential. You should be methodical and collaborative, capable of working independently, anticipating challenges, and demonstrating resilience. Familiarity with legal frameworks, proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (SAP), and operational English skills are required. The role may involve frequent travel within France and potentially internationally.
