Role Overview
As a Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical management of various equipment packages, including Process Gas Compressors, Turbo-Generators, pumps for process fluids or utilities, Emergency Diesel Generators, and Turbo Expanders.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing technical specifications and requisitions for inquiries and purchases,
- Conducting technical evaluations of vendor bids,
- Overseeing vendor technical follow-ups,
- Reviewing and providing feedback on vendor drawings for the main equipment packages,
- Participating in equipment performance testing at vendor facilities.
You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Installation, Process, Electricity, and Instrumentation, as well as Purchasing, Expediting, and Inspection teams. This collaboration will involve centralizing requests, clarifying requirements, analyzing supplier deviations, and resolving technical challenges.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a graduate Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in equipment management within the oil & gas or industrial sectors.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, decision-making capabilities, and a results-oriented mindset. Adaptability and the ability to work with diverse project stakeholders from various cultural backgrounds are essential.
Proficiency in English is required, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally is expected. Familiarity with API Codes & Standards related to rotating machinery is advantageous.
