**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced IT Compliance Engineer with a strong background in Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), dual-use regulations, and the EU's Directive on Security of Network and Information Systems (NIS2).

This critical role is responsible for ensuring that our IT systems and processes comply with these complex regulatory frameworks, which are vital to our operations, international trade activities, and cybersecurity posture.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of IT compliance requirements and a proven track record in managing compliance within a technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement an IT compliance strategy that addresses requirements under EAR, ITAR, dual-use regulations, and NIS2, ensuring that all IT systems and processes are in full compliance.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks within IT operations and develop strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring the integrity and security of IT systems.
  • Lead efforts to ensure IT systems and processes comply with EAR, ITAR, dual-use regulations, and NIS2, including managing export controls, data protection measures, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with IT, legal, cybersecurity, and business teams to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT compliance, with specific expertise in EAR, ITAR, dual-use regulations, and NIS2 or similar cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, network security, and data protection principles.
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to drive compliance initiatives within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms.

**Salary:** $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
