Do you have a proven track record of developing and executing research projects that deliver actionable insights and drive transformational change? If so, we'd like to hear from you.

We're seeking a highly skilled Consumer Insight Manager to join our EMEA team. As a key member of our Consumer Insights team, you will be responsible for developing and executing research projects that create insights and translate them into action to drive business growth at McCormick. You will work closely with our agency partners and stakeholders to deliver research plans that bring the voice of the consumer to key business decisions and instill a consumer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute insight-based learning plans in line with our short and long-term strategic category and brand plans.
  • Influence business partners to act upon the insight and knowledge generated to make informed business decisions and deliver against critical business objectives.
  • Discover meaningful insights and uncover new business opportunities by staying on top of trends and mining/curating primary and secondary research to push traditional thinking.
  • Partner with growth platforms team on NPD pipeline development across our lead growth platforms; working on everything from platform development through to ideation, NPD testing, pack testing etc.
  • Partner with brand team and digital teams, leveraging qualitative and quantitative research methods to identify strong ideas and optimize product positioning and messaging.
  • Lead and review the agile insight development process at McCormick EMEA, with specific focus on agile iterative NPD development using agile platforms such as Zappi, Vypr etc.
  • Identify and explore new approaches to methodologies, analyses and reporting that can lead to more intimate consumer understanding and better business application. A strong interest in the latest insight thinking e.g. Behavioral Science, use of AI to drive insight is key.
  • Work alongside Head of Insight and Global Insight team to create and deliver insight training programs, ranging from consumer connection to using insight to inform innovation.
  • Participate as a member of wider global insight community on key consumer connection and thought pieces throughout the year, designed to bring McCormick closer to our consumers.
Requirements:
  • Demonstratable experience in consumer research and insights across agency/client side (some FMCG experience preferred but not essential).
  • Breadth of experience in qualitative and quantitative methods such as Brand Tracking, Segmentation, Idea and Concept Screening, TURF, Pack Testing, Comms Development, Social media message testing.
  • Experience working on multi-market research and passion to understand culture in cooking across Europe and the world.
  • Experience of, or keen to work on agile and iterative insight methods with specific focus on NPD development such as Zappi. Curious to consider the best way of conducting insight to balance agility versus quality of insight using new methods.
  • Ability to integrate and synthesize learnings from primary and secondary research into compelling insights that lead to actionable business recommendations.
  • Ability to translate complicated information into compelling deliverables and insight stories that inspire action.
  • Demonstrated ability to think innovatively and connecting the dots where others cannot when it comes to understanding consumer needs, to create meaningful insights for the business.
  • Comfortable in a complex global organization with multiple stakeholders with differing needs, with demonstrated success in prioritising and balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curious about consumers and passionate about brands, with a can do and flexible attitude. Strong interpersonal skills and a strong communicator.
  • Strong drive for results and keen to understand and prioritize on the commercial impact of decisions.
