As part of its recruitment efforts for highly skilled professionals, D2M Services is seeking a Marine Structural Engineer. Our client is a maritime design and engineering firm specializing in services for new constructions and retrofitting of vessels and offshore floating platforms in the oil, gas, and marine renewable energy sectors.

Your responsibilities as a Marine Structural Engineer include:

  • Delivering hull structural designs and calculations in accordance with classification standards and client requirements.
  • Overseeing all tasks performed by project designers and draftsmen, ensuring the production of high-quality hull construction drawings.
  • Sharing insights and lessons learned from daily project operations.

Examples of projects you may work on include: Basic Design for FPSO hulls, Methanol retrofitting, Carbon Capture retrofitting, and Floating Wind assets.

Qualifications

You possess a Master's degree in marine engineering and have a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Your expertise includes knowledge of offshore structures and naval architecture, particularly in the structural analysis of both global and detailed hull structures, utilizing FEMAP Software and Class software VeriStar Hull. Familiarity with structural interfaces related to mooring systems, cranes, topsides, and other equipment is preferred.

Understanding of classification rules (ABS, BV, DNV), as well as IMO and international standards, is essential.

To excel in this position, you should demonstrate a strong work ethic and team spirit in diverse cultural settings, possess excellent writing and communication skills, and be adaptable to a dynamic and innovative work environment. You should be capable of working independently while effectively reporting any challenges or difficulties encountered.

Proficiency in both standard and technical English is required.
