The successful candidate will work on developing mathematical frameworks and practical setups for applying Topological Data Analysis (TDA) methods, descriptors, and features in the context of deep generative models. A particular focus will be made first on multimodal variational autoencoders, with specific reparameterization tricks adapted to topology.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement TDA methods and descriptors for deep generative models
- Design and optimize multimodal variational autoencoders for topology-infused generative models
- Apply TDA methods to approximate galaxy map simulations
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to integrate TDA methods into deep learning frameworks
- PhD degree in applied mathematics and/or computer science
- Excellent programming skills with experience in deep learning and optimization libraries
- Strong background in topology and data analysis
- Good communication and collaboration skills
