Our WindFloat technology enables offshore wind turbines to be sited in any water depth or seabed condition, unlocking offshore wind potential worldwide and allowing projects to harvest the best wind resources.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing structural solutions for our WindFloat technology, working closely with our engineering team to ensure the highest level of quality and safety.

Main Accountabilities
  • Design tasks for current projects including preliminary sizing of steel structures, strength, buckling and fatigue analysis, and detailing of the structures
  • Interface with drafters to produce packages of drawings for certification and fabrication
  • Follow closely the fabrication planning and execution phases to provide support as necessary
  • Prepare project specifications and structural design criteria
  • Develop initial or conceptual structural designs and layouts
Requirements
  • Master of Science in a relevant field of engineering (Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Materials Science, etc.)
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in the design of ship, offshore structures, or wind turbine supporting structures
  • Minimum one (1) year of professional experience in floating wind
  • Experience in using commercial FEA software such as ANSYS or equivalent
  • Firm and practical knowledge of class standards and relevant regulations (ABS, BV, DNVGL, and/or API)
  • Proficiency in two (2) or more programming languages (Matlab, Python, VBA)
  • Experience in drafting and modeling tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino)
  • Strong technical and data analysis skills
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written skills, is essential
  • Ability to become a key person for projects on behalf of the Structural Engineering Group
  • Outstanding organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Display excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possess the ability to work independently; is self-directed and motivated
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work with colleagues in a positive and collaborative manner
  • Proven experience working in multidisciplinary environments within a global context
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to provide technical supervision to junior engineers
