Key Responsibilities

The Medical Evaluator will be responsible for:

  • Implementing evaluation processes:
    • Conducting medical evaluations to determine eligibility for disability benefits, including the Allocation aux Adultes Handicapés (AAH), complément de ressources, Carte Mobilité Inclusion (CMI), and Prestation de Compensation du Handicap (PCH)
    • Participating in multidisciplinary evaluation teams, synthesizing information, and making decisions
    • Presenting cases to the Commissions des Droits et de l'Autonomie des Personnes Handicapées (CDAPH)
  • Providing medical expertise:
    • Providing technical support to multidisciplinary teams and ensuring fair treatment of cases
    • Accompanying teams in implementing new policies and procedures related to disability
    • Developing partnerships with local healthcare providers and participating in network activities
    • Informing and supporting people with disabilities and their families
    • Evaluating and monitoring high-risk situations and participating in synthesis meetings
    • Maintaining confidentiality and respecting medical secrecy
    • Participating in implementing departmental autonomy policies and projects
    • Evaluating Groupes Iso-Ressources Moyens Pondérés (GMP) for elderly care facilities and participating in control missions
    • Processing requests for age exemptions for admissions to EHPAD
    • Providing training on the Autonomie Gérontologique de Groupes Iso-Ressources (AGGIR) grid

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine degree
  • Knowledge of disability regulations
  • Knowledge of gerontology, occupational medicine, and/or psychiatry (desirable)
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Respect for professional and medical secrecy
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid B driving license
