Job Title: Global Manager, Research Services
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Manager, Research Services to join our team at INSEAD. As a key member of our research support services, you will be responsible for streamlining research support services, strategizing to optimize research administration, managing a global team of staff researchers and freelancers, and fostering productive relationships with faculty members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with faculty to understand their activities, sense their needs, and proactively propose support in terms of access to research staff or grant possibilities.
- Recruit, onboard, develop, manage, and retain world-class researchers to support INSEAD's faculty globally, and develop and implement strategies for adequate research support and administration.
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports as required by Research Leadership and ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research support services.
- Provide comprehensive research administration and support services globally, including managing administrative matters related to assessing the faculty's research needs, research staffing, and support.
- Plan and execute community-building events, research workshops, onboarding, and other activities to support the research strategy.
- Contribute to the pre-award grant administration process, including mapping funding opportunities and preparing all pre-award activities as necessary.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Management, or related fields. A background in research methodology will be highly beneficial.
- At least 5 years of international experience in research administration or management.
- Experience working in an academic or educational institution is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in managing support services.
- Prior experience in a managerial role with responsibilities for recruiting and developing a team.
- Proven experience in managing teams and facilitating collaboration across different cultural and geographical contexts.
- Experience working in an academic or educational institution is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in grant administration and funding processes.

- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective strategies for research support and administration.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with faculty members, research staff, and INSEAD services.
- People Management: Ability to develop, and manage a team of staff researchers and freelancers.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and opportunities in research.
- Grant Management: Familiarity with the grant administration process, and experience in identifying and mapping funding opportunities.
- Global Perspective: Understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity and a global perspective, in line with INSEAD's mission.
