About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team at Inria, a leading research institute dedicated to digital science and technology. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and evolving our infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our software ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement infrastructure evolutions to ensure scalability and reliability
  • Migrate our database storage from PostgreSQL to Cassandra and our internal object storage to a distributed storage solution
  • Supervise and maintain the Software Heritage infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security
  • Deploy and automate software releases, ensuring seamless integration with our development environment
  • Participate in team life, interacting with relevant Open Source communities and Software Heritage partners
Requirements
  • Strong background in Linux in an enterprise production environment, preferably at scale
  • Knowledge of development of systems management and administration automation
  • Experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration environments
  • Experience in configuration management technologies such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
  • Familiarity with one or more cloud providers
  • Experience coding in Python or similar languages
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
