Position Overview
The ESG Investment Analyst is responsible for conducting comprehensive ESG evaluations of the issuers and projects involved in the sustainable investment strategies managed by SCOR Investment Partners across various asset classes, including corporate bonds, loans, real estate, and infrastructure.
Within SCOR Investment Partners (SCOR IP), the Sustainable Investment Team plays a crucial role in the sustainable investment framework, executing both qualitative and quantitative assessments while developing innovative tools to ensure that sustainability policies are seamlessly integrated into the investment approach. The team provides strategic recommendations to portfolio managers based on current assessments and anticipated shifts in the ESG quality of issuers.
As part of the Sustainable Investment team, your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough ESG analyses of assigned issuers and projects. Your insights will be vital to the investment strategies of the sustainable funds overseen by SCOR Investment Partners.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing in-depth analyses of a designated list of issuers and projects.
- Generating ESG assessments and alerts at the initiation and throughout the duration of investments.
- Contributing to the development of new ESG processes and enhancing existing methodologies.
- Conducting research and keeping SCOR IP informed about advancements in sustainable finance.
- Supporting commercial teams with ESG-related client inquiries and requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Processing and analyzing ESG data from portfolios.
Required Experience & Competencies
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in ESG/CSR with a strong foundation in finance.
Personal Competencies:
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Collaborative team player.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a robust work ethic.
- Adaptable and capable of meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken).
Required Education
A Master's degree in Sustainable Finance, Finance with a sustainability focus, Economics, or a related field is essential.
