The Legal Department plays a crucial role in facilitating and executing legal tasks that empower DataDome's international business and product divisions to provide valuable products and services to clients.
This encompasses the preparation and execution of agreements, support for partnerships, and guidance on product-related legal matters.
Members of the Legal Department serve as the primary consultants for business, product, and technical teams, acting as both the initial point of contact and the concluding authority for any inquiries requiring legal insight.
Your Responsibilities:
As the Corporate Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing a diverse range of commercial contracts, including Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and Sales Contracts. You will oversee the entire contractual lifecycle: from creation to execution and archiving.
Contract Oversight
- Analyze, draft, and negotiate intricate legal agreements (e.g., client contracts, supplier agreements, partnerships, etc.).
- Manage and supervise our contract lifecycle: you will oversee the complete duration of our agreements, from inception to execution and archiving.
- Create and maintain templates that adhere to company policies and local regulations.
- Assist in updating and localizing processes and templates for contractual documents.
- Provide guidance to global/regional operational teams on legal matters and risks, agreement structures, and company policies.
- Address security, IT, intellectual property, and data privacy concerns.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of standard form agreements and legal policies and procedures.
Legal Research and Monitoring
- Collaborate closely with the Global Legal Manager to assist with regulatory and legislative analysis.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
- Monitor and follow up on the group's legal challenges.
- Engage in various ad hoc matters (Data Privacy, IT, IP, Tax, etc.).
Internal Communication & Legal Education
- Oversee the legal intranet.
- Participate in communicating the Legal Department's updates to operational staff.
- Propose and engage in the development of internal communication tools (legal briefs, training materials, newsletters, intranet, SharePoint management, etc.).
- Draft and implement training materials and presentations.
Project Coordination
- Manage and monitor medium- to long-term projects involving various departments.
- Facilitate team and planning meetings.
- Coordinate with other departments and provide progress reports on projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- M1 or M2 law degree in commercial or civil law.
- 7+ years of experience in a corporate environment (preferably within the SaaS/digital/software sector).
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Experience in managing detailed information (e.g., communications, documents, electronic files, etc.).
- Proven track record in supporting the continuous maintenance and enhancement of forms, processes, and systems.
- Extensive experience in addressing contractual issues related to cloud services, data security, privacy, and intellectual property is highly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with exceptional attention to detail.
- Capacity to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a law firm is advantageous.
- Familiarity with data privacy and transfer regulations would be beneficial.
