Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Cloud Solutions Consultant to become a vital part of our dynamic technical community and expanding operations within the France Public Sector Team.
In this role, you will collaborate with a supportive team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge cloud computing innovations to organizations that serve our Public Sector clientele, including government entities, state-owned enterprises, educational institutions, healthcare providers, and non-profit organizations. Our Public Sector teams empower clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of large-scale cloud technology and application frameworks, equipped with the consultative and leadership capabilities necessary to achieve successful results.
As an AWS Cloud Solutions Consultant, you will take charge of the technical relationship with clients, providing insights on security, cost-effectiveness, performance, reliability, operational efficiency, and optimal architectural practices. Internally, you will serve as an advocate for the customer, driving ongoing enhancements to the AWS platform by communicating their needs and preferences to influence the development of AWS services and features. You will also play a key role in shaping the future of the Solutions Architecture organization by participating in recruitment, coaching, and mentoring initiatives.
Your innovative thinking will connect technology to practical solutions, allowing you to define or create cloud-native reference architectures alongside the global AWS Solutions Architect community. You will engage in the development and dissemination of best practices, technical documentation, and new reference architectures (e.g., white papers, code samples, blog posts) while promoting and educating others about AWS technology through various channels such as workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking engagements, online videos, or conferences.

About the Team
By joining the French Public Sector Solutions Architect team at AWS, you will become part of a highly motivated group with varied backgrounds and skills, eager to assist you in your growth while learning from you. You will have access to numerous training opportunities designed to help you quickly acclimate, enhance your skills, and chart your career path with multiple internal prospects. You will work with significant autonomy, yet support will always be available when needed.
- Background in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering, or DevOps.
- Proven ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with business-fluent English & French, enabling effective discussions within customer organizations, along with the technical expertise to guide customers in operational roles.
- A strong passion for technology and continuous learning.
This role requires travel to clients across France (30 to 40%).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in designing, building, refactoring, or operating IT systems, whether on-premises or in the cloud.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge across multiple technology domains, such as distributed internet-scale web or mobile applications, DevOps, Serverless, Big Data, analytics, Machine Learning, enterprise workloads (SAP, VMware, Windows, etc.), high-performance databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and complex networking implementations.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience working with healthcare organizations or government agencies.
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) or other industry certifications.
