Ansys is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer II to join our team and contribute to the development of high-performant modules for numerical simulation data processing in different physics/architecture environments.
About the RoleAs a Software Development Engineer, you will collaborate with a team to design, implement, test, and document software modules, services, and sub-systems in numerical simulation. You will work under the general supervision of a development manager and be responsible for performing development/coding activities, including bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and test software modules, services, and sub-systems in numerical simulation
- Maintain and improve existing codebases to ensure high-quality and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in technical software development via academic, research, or industry experience
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of physics (mechanics, electronics, or fluid mechanics)
- Technical knowledge and experience with Finite Element simulation and CAD modeling
- Passion for crafting robust and efficient code
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
