Psychiatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse 1 Psychiatric to join our team at New York State. As a key member of our mental health care team, you will provide professional nursing services to individuals diagnosed with mental illness.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing interventions and document patient care
- Conduct case finding and health teaching/counseling
- Participate in staff training and prepare clinical reports
- Maintain infection control standards and inventory management
- Function as a member of a treatment team and act as a charge nurse on a unit
To be eligible for this position, you must possess a license and current registration to practice nursing in New York State. You must also be able to maintain your license and registration once appointed.
In addition, you cannot be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists. If appointed, you may be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.
Please note that if you fail to maintain your license and/or registration, or if you are listed as an excluded individual or entity, action will be taken to remove you from the position.
