About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team at Upfluence. As a Senior BI Analyst, you will be responsible for building a BI department from scratch, structuring data streams, and setting up the environment necessary for our Executive Team and Directors to efficiently pilot their departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up the Data Warehouse, ETL (data structuring), and analytics software (Looker or Tableau) to provide actionable insights.
- Set up Data visualization tools and create SQL data.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can improve business performance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency by conducting regular data validation and quality checks.
- Stay updated with emerging trends, techniques, and tools in the BI and analytics field, recommending and implementing improvements to existing BI processes and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ad-hoc data analysis requests, provide data-driven insights, and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Experience (from years) working as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or a similar role, with a focus on data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
- Proficient in SQL and data querying languages, with a solid understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with data modeling, data visualization best practices, and data storytelling techniques.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and derive actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on translating business requirements into data-driven solutions.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
