Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Leader to join our team at DAZN. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in the continued expansion of our sports streaming service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership: You will be responsible for managing the financial performance of our France and Belgium operations, partnering with our senior management team and working with external stakeholders at sports leagues and distribution partners.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: You will prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets across the P&L and operating cash flows, challenging and obtaining buy-in from non-finance teams on forecast inputs and KPIs that drive financial outputs.
  • Commercial Contract Management: You will be the Finance owner and expert on all commercial contracts, large-scale distribution deals, and rights agreements.
  • Relationship Building: You will develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including distributors and rightsholders.
  • Financial Reporting: You will prepare and present monthly financial reviews for divisional and central stakeholders, analyzing financial performance against benchmarks and highlighting risks, opportunities, and insights.
  • Strategic Decision Making: You will influence and assist divisional management with respect to evaluating, negotiating, and contracting new opportunities and contracts, including financial modeling in alignment with best practice from the central financial modeling team.
  • Culture and Governance: You will play a lead role in the establishment and maintenance of a strong culture of governance and control across the business.
  • Collaboration: You will work closely with Group Finance to drive continuous improvements in the delivery of finance services to key finance and other management stakeholders impacting the P&L, including cash-flow management and provision of monthly management accounts.
Requirements:
  • Senior Finance Experience: You will have senior-level experience operating in senior finance positions.
  • Strategic Decision Making: You will have experience partnering with senior executives on key strategic decisions, influencing major partner deal negotiations or product pricing recommendations.
  • Leadership Skills: You will have proven ability to thrive in a multifaceted environment under short timelines and changing priorities.
  • Team Management: You will have proven experience of managing and motivating a hardworking group of ambitious finance analysts/business partners to deliver effective business partnering to multiple stakeholders.
  • Commercial Awareness: You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and establish strong relationships.
  • Subscription Business Experience: You will have experience in a subscription business with a detailed understanding of acquisition, churn, and ARPU metrics.
  • Strategic Business Acumen: You will have strong commercial awareness and strategic/business acumen.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: You will have a pro-active and entrepreneurial mindset with great leadership skills.
  • Marketing Awareness: You will have awareness and understanding of off and online marketing methodologies.
  • Financial Modeling: You will have excellent financial modeling, quantitative, and data analysis skills.
