Mission
The organization has cultivated a deep understanding of core fusion incidents in nuclear facilities, alongside research and experimental reactors, as well as nuclear propulsion systems in France. This proficiency stems from extensive R&D initiatives that the organization has been leading and participating in for numerous years.
In this role, you will be tasked with disseminating this expertise both within the organization and to external stakeholders. In the core fusion incidents domain, your responsibilities will include anticipating, defining, and executing safety expertise strategies for:
- Operating reactors during their scheduled inspections,
- Emerging nuclear reactor designs such as EPR2, SMR, and next-generation micro-reactors,
- Future nuclear propulsion systems.
You will spearhead the technical safety discussions on these matters and provide expertise on the most critical safety challenges.
To facilitate the implementation of these expertise strategies, you will identify R&D and safety study requirements, assist in defining programs to address these needs, and contribute to synthesizing their outcomes.
You will represent the organization in various international forums related to your area of expertise. Additionally, you will contribute to expertise on reactors outside the national territory as part of international collaborative projects or services.
You may also conduct training sessions, both internally and externally.
Finally, you will play a role in preparing and managing radiological emergencies within your area of expertise.
Profile
You possess at least a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. You have a strong grasp of the normal functioning of nuclear reactors and strategies to manage accident scenarios while minimizing their impact on populations and the environment, and can demonstrate significant achievements in serious incidents.
Your experience includes defining expertise and study methodologies to analyze the behavior of complex systems. You exhibit excellent synthesis and writing capabilities.
You demonstrate technical leadership, are proactive, and possess the ability to manage complex projects. You have a strong sense of collaboration and have shown a clear commitment to teamwork.
