Job Summary:
Barrington James is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantum Chip Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Quantum Technology division, you will be responsible for driving the success of our quantum chip design and development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Quantum Measurement team to design and develop high-performance quantum circuits and gates.
- Work closely with the Nanofabrication team to design and layout superconducting integrated circuits for quantum processors.
- Develop and implement RF engineering solutions for quantum hardware.
- Construct and model gds design circuits using commercial software and bespoke Python-based simulation tools (HFSS, ADS Quantum Pro).
- Work with manufacturing and experimentation teams to identify and develop circuit topologies for fabrication and measurement.
- Measure and analyze the microwave characteristics of developed circuits at low temperatures.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in experimental quantum physics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
