ELMA RECRUTEMENT is seeking a skilled Financial Controller to join a prominent organization in the digital health sector. This company is dedicated to empowering patients in managing chronic conditions through collaborative efforts with healthcare professionals. They possess extensive expertise in deploying digital solutions for pharmaceutical clients, navigating regulatory approvals, securing payer coverage, and scaling operations in key markets such as the United States, European Union, and Japan.
Key Responsibilities- Partnership: Offer strategic guidance and support to management and various functional teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of transaction processing, labor cost calculations, and overhead expenses. Provide first-level assistance to the operational team for all financial and accounting inquiries.
- Reporting and Analysis: Deliver insights and detailed explanations to the division controller for both instant and forecast reports, analyzing results against budgets, forecasts, and prior year performance. Prepare financial documentation and contribute to divisional service consolidation.
- Forecasting Activities: Generate monthly and quarterly forecasts, as well as ad-hoc projections, to maintain accuracy in revenue and EBITDA. Review expenses against actuals and identify operational challenges and opportunities.
- Monthly Closure: Oversee monthly closure tasks, manage accounting entries (primarily handled by international commercial services), and ensure accuracy and balance. Analyze expenses in relation to forecasts and budgets, recommending corrective actions to management. Prepare monthly financial statements in SAP and load them into BPC, adhering to established deadlines and policies.
- Five-Year Plan and Annual Budgeting: Lead the annual review of the five-year plan and the budgeting process for revenue and cost centers. Collaborate with business development managers and cost center leaders to create comprehensive site budgets.
- Internal Controls: Maintain continuous oversight of the organization’s assets by fostering a culture of adherence to internal control standards across all departments. Serve as the primary resource for all written policies and ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting, including monthly closures. Support internal and external audit requests.
- Management Information Systems: Provide ongoing support to enhance the efficiency of management reporting. Train and delegate responsibilities to ensure accurate processing of electronic transactions within SAP and other relevant software.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Exceptional interpersonal and analytical abilities, with a proven track record of collaborating effectively with key operational leaders.
- A highly motivated individual, eager to learn and embrace challenges by engaging with project teams to grasp the nuances of the environment.
- Proficient in SAP accounting software and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI is advantageous.
- Professional proficiency in English.
