Verification and Validation Engineer

Role Overview: The Verification and Validation Engineer plays a crucial role within the Train Control & Information Systems (TC&IS) department, engaging in various projects based on their expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough verification of functional and software requirements specifications, software architecture, and detailed design specifications, encompassing all train functions such as power, traction, braking, and passenger access.
- Design, execute, and document test procedures across different stages of the software development lifecycle, including software component tests, integration tests, and overall functional tests, utilizing various testing platforms (PC, test bench, TrainLab).
- Establish the testing environment by defining test benches, receiving test benches, modeling subsystems (MIL/SIL), or integrating subsystems on the test bench (HIL), and selecting appropriate test tools.
- Develop and maintain test automation processes while keeping abreast of advancements in testing tools.
- Participate in the formulation of the testing strategy and provide constructive feedback, collaborating with fellow Validation & Test Engineers and Validation & Test Leaders to foster continuous improvement.
- Oversee the configuration management of test deliverables, actively engage in change management processes (bug reports, change requests), and monitor outstanding issues within their purview.
- Collaborate closely with the project's Validation & Test Leader (V&TL), the design team (System & Control Engineers, integrators), software quality engineers, and RAMS engineers.
- Report functionally to the Validation & Test Leader and hierarchically to the Verification & Test Domain Leader (V&TDL).
Qualifications:
- Industrial IT/Automation engineering background with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Verification & Validation Software or Software Quality.
- Familiarity with the software development process (V-cycle) and software quality standards.
- Ability to thrive in a matrix, multi-site, and international organizational structure.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
