Job Description:
As a Software Development Engineer for Optronics Banks, you will be part of the Engineering Department, which supports our programs in the conduct of engineering activities and testing, implements optimization methods for our technical excellence, and ensures optimal service to our clients.
In the Equipment and Means Optronics (EM) service, your mission will be to define, develop, and validate the software architecture of the optronics means developed within the MBDA France Optronics Laboratory.
As a Software Development Engineer for Optronics Banks, you will:
- Participate in the software design phase: functional analysis, writing of functional specifications for systems, subsystems, and interfaces
- Define and manage the entire software development phase, in collaboration with the material architecture responsible of the equipment
- Master the methods, procedures, and the entire software development environment
In the context of your projects, you will lead this activity until the deployment of one or more applications on the system, which you will test and validate for proper functioning. You will also be responsible for writing technical documentation in accordance with the MBDA France software quality reference, and managing software configuration.
You will work in collaboration with engineers and technicians from the EM service and in interface with internal MBDA projects and external subcontractors.
With a Bac+5 degree and specialization in embedded software or electronics, you have at least 3 years of experience in developing embedded software and electronic equipment for optronics systems.
You have skills in implementing electronic and software architectures (HW, SW, CEM, Validation…), in electronic design (analog and digital), and knowledge of microcontrollers and FPGA would be an asset.
You are comfortable using software design and programming tools such as Python, Matlab, and Labview.
You have good interpersonal skills, are rigorous, curious, enjoy working in a team, and demonstrate good synthesis skills.
Given the international environment of the company, a good level of English is required.
This role involves working in a multidisciplinary environment and may require travel within France and internationally.
