Research Intelligence Specialist

Givaudan is a leading global company that creates delightful taste and scent experiences. We are seeking a highly skilled Competitive Intelligence Manager to join our Science & Technology team in Paris.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive research competitive intelligence by collecting, screening, analyzing, and reporting available data to improve competitive understanding and guide the research strategy.
- Work with a cross-departmental and multidisciplinary research team to manage a research and innovation intelligence platform that supports the Science & Technology community and the Creation and Development teams.
- Identify technology and ingredient platform gaps and opportunities and support partner argumentation.
- Prepare Competitive intelligence information to empower our Science & Technology teams.
- Improve Competitive Intelligence processes and tools.
- Work with the Research Management Committee and create ad hoc reports in response to market events or changes in technical landscapes.
- Support the knowledge building for the Creation and Development teams and other relevant partners.
- Work with the Taste & Wellbeing Competitive intelligence team to maximise synergies and information sharing.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree or equivalent, with a scientific relevant background e.g. organic chemistry or polymer chemistry.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position in the Fragrance or Flavours Industry.
- Experienced in managing complex scientific topics.
- Experienced working with interdisciplinary and remote teams in a matrix organization.
- Proficient in research analytics.
- An excellent understanding of patents and Intellectual Property needs.
- Experienced communicating with partners at different levels.
- Business fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Curious, organised, constructive, and team-player with a big enthusiasm for the fragrance industry.
