About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ESG Development Associate to join our team at AXA. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting the deployment of our responsible investment strategy across Europe.

Main Responsibilities
  • ESG Policy Deployment
    • Coordinate with local teams to deploy ESG policies and guidelines
    • Structure and adjust ESG policies to best market practice while monitoring technical and financial feasibility
    • Support the Pan-European Development Coordinator in deploying ESG strategy at local level and among new geographies and platforms
    • Coordinate deployment within local DM team across multiple workstreams, asset classes, and initiatives
  • Local ESG Expertise Development
    • Educate and train Development Managers on strategy, tools, and processes
    • Deploy technical guidelines and tools and foster adoption
    • Review ESG executive dashboard per project and support local teams to identify action plans and deploy best practices
    • Monitor progress made by the DM team vs. targets and follow up on KPIs
    • Coordinate reporting and internal communication tools
    • Review and coordinate ESG data collection, ensure data consistency and quality with the Global ESG team
  • ESG Efforts with Local Stakeholders
    • Coordinate initiatives with external Development Managers, including awareness and monitoring of ESG targets
    • Monitor service providers at local level in relation with local teams and contribute to the selection of new ones
    • Liaise with Legal and Compliance teams to review and assess local laws and legal framework evolutions
    • Monitor industry evolution, benchmark competition, and contribute to interactions with external peers
    • Advise in ad hoc investment or divestment processes
    Requirements
    • Master degree in Finance, Management, Engineering, or Real Estate
    • Sustainability-focused diploma is favorable
    • EPC, BREEAM, or other rating schemes accredited is a plus
    • Min 4 years of experience
    • Prior experience in development activity with a strong focus on ESG department
    • Good understanding of the real estate industry
    • Knowledge of global real estate sustainability standards and certification schemes
    • Understanding of EU and local ESG regulations is considered a plus

    • Any other European language is considered a plus
