Company Overview: A-VANTAGE is a leading player in the automotive equipment sector, committed to excellence and innovation.
Position Overview: We are seeking a Site Procurement Manager who will play a crucial role in our Senior Management Team. This position is essential for managing both direct and indirect procurement functions across our facilities, with a focus on enhancing Quality, Cost, and Delivery metrics to boost our competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and oversee the procurement budget for the facility.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies to achieve annual procurement objectives.
- Lead and coordinate procurement projects within the factory, including Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) and component sourcing.
- Negotiate with suppliers and monitor pricing adjustments, while keeping abreast of market price fluctuations.
- Drive productivity initiatives within the factory.
- Spot and pursue opportunities for cost savings in components and raw materials.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to propose innovative 'redesign to cost' solutions.
- Ensure the execution of approved savings initiatives aligns with budgetary plans.
- Facilitate and lead sourcing committees for direct procurement components.
- Provide monthly reports on procurement activities, ensuring they align with budgetary expectations.
- Engage in monthly reviews and present procurement updates to management.
- Coordinate procurement strategies within the Business Line.
- Prioritize procurement challenges within the factory and escalate issues as necessary.
- Participate in supplier sourcing committees to prepare for new component production launches.
- Contribute to meetings regarding new program transfers and validate the transition of programs to the factory.
- Manage stakeholder relationships during significant changes in volume and product lifecycle.
- Act as the liaison between suppliers and the facility.
- Oversee supplier tooling and strive for continuous improvement in supplier Quality, Cost, and Delivery performance.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain team to optimize supplier delivery and logistics expenses.
- Ensure supplier quality performance meets established standards and implement necessary improvement plans.
- Manage costs associated with supplier-related non-quality issues.
- Source both direct procurement components and indirect items.
Management Responsibilities: This role does not require direct management of staff, aside from overseeing an apprentice at each site.
Candidate Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Engineering with a focus on procurement is required.
A minimum of 5 years of procurement experience is essential, ideally within the automotive sector.
