Company Overview: A-VANTAGE is a leading automotive equipment manufacturer dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency and product quality.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Site Procurement Manager who will play a pivotal role in managing procurement processes across our manufacturing sites. This position is crucial for ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and oversee the procurement budget for the manufacturing facility.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies to achieve procurement budget objectives.
- Lead procurement projects within the facility, including value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) and component sourcing.
- Negotiate pricing agreements with suppliers and keep abreast of market price fluctuations.
- Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing factory productivity.
- Explore and propose cost-saving measures for components and raw materials.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to develop cost-effective redesign solutions.
- Ensure the execution of approved savings initiatives in line with budget forecasts.
- Facilitate sourcing committees for direct procurement components.
- Provide monthly reports on procurement activities, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
- Engage in monthly management reviews and presentations regarding procurement status.
- Coordinate procurement efforts within the Business Line.
- Prioritize procurement challenges within the facility and escalate issues as necessary.
- Participate in supplier sourcing committees to prepare for new component production.
- Engage in program transfer meetings to validate the transition of new programs to the facility.
- Manage stakeholder relations during significant production volume changes and product discontinuations.
- Act as the liaison between suppliers and the manufacturing site.
- Oversee supplier tooling and work towards continuous improvement in supplier performance regarding Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to optimize supplier logistics and delivery costs.
- Ensure supplier quality metrics meet established standards and implement necessary improvement plans.
- Manage costs associated with supplier-related quality issues.
- Source both direct procurement components and indirect supplies.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Engineering with a focus on procurement and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the automotive sector.
